What are my fees and when are they due?
Each panelist is an independent contractor who sets their own hourly/daily rates. Hourly rates range from $300-$550 per hour. Most of our panelists require a 4 hour minimum retainer. Hourly fees are equally apportioned among parties, unless agreed to otherwise. The fees for services other than hearing time include, but are not limited to, review of submitted materials, research, deliberation time, and post hearing follow up. A retainer will be charged for anticipated services prior to the scheduled hearing.
Parties must advance the estimated hourly/daily fees plus the non-refundable administrative fees to lock in reserved dates. Payments are due no later than 10 days prior to the hearing date for half day matters, 15 days prior to the hearing date for full day matters and 30 days prior to the hearing date for multi-day matters. FRS reserves the right to cancel any hearing where all fees have not been received timely. FRS also reserves the right to withhold service of any rulings or arbitration awards until all fees have been received from all parties. All FRS invoices are due and payable upon receipt. Fees will be the joint and several obligation of all counsel and/or representatives contracted for neutral services on behalf of their client(s). Accordingly they will be held responsible for payment of all charges associated with the neutral services.
